Health and Safety Protocols
at the Phoenix Theatre
The Phoenix Theatre is committed to the health and safety of our patrons and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please read the following protocols to ensure the safety of our patrons and staff.
As per the Government's latest directives on November 23 we are suspending all public events including films from November 24 to December 8. Screenings will be re-scheduled and we'll have more information soon.
Please do not enter the Phoenix Theatre if you:
• Have any of the following symptoms:
- New of Worsening Cough
- Shortness of breath
- New muscle aches or headache
- Sore throat
• Have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days
• Are close to a person who tested positive for COVID-19
Before you arrive:
We are currently operating at reduced capacity. As such, advance tickets are recommended. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Box Office at 5319 50th Ave. S. on weekdays from 1-4PM. The Box Office is open 1 hour before the film starts. Online tickets are coming soon!
When you arrive:
Please come early! This will allow our staff adequate time to ensure that guests are seated in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Doors for all shows open 60 minutes prior to any given screening.
We kindly ask and encourage all guests visiting the Phoenix Theatre to wear a mask as much as possible in an effort to help protect other guests and our staff. Complimentary masks are available upon request.
Please consider paying for your concesions with with either debit or credit cards in an effort to help ensure as “contact-less” an experience as possible.
Wash. Your. Hands. (Then wash them some more.) hand sanitising stations are also available in the lobby.
Observe and maintain a physical distance of 2 metres. As required by the Health Minister we will maintain the 50 person restriction. Please ensure that 2-3 seats are left empty between your party and any other. The maximum number of patrons in a party that can be seated together is 6. (If you have more than six people, be prepared to split up!) Of course, our friendly staff will be on hand and available prior to showtime to ensure that proper distance is maintained.
A few more things:
We take our guests’ and staff’s health very seriously. Please be patient with us as we work hard to make necessary adjustments at this time.
All of our staff will be wearing masks and maintaining frequent hand washing.
Seats are thoroughly disinfected between screenings.
Washrooms are disinfected between screenings.
Our concession area is disinfected between screenings.
All other areas of high contact – door handles, pin-pads, etc – will be routinely cleaned and sanitized regularly.
